Friday, April 10, 2009: Aptech Computer Education has launched a month-long career guidance initiative for students interested in making a career in IT. ‘Career Next’ will kick start in the first week of April 2009. Aptech kiosks will be installed outside colleges, malls, multiplexes, popular eating joints, cafés etc. across the country. Students and parents visiting the kiosks will be guided to attend free career guidance session and aptitude test at the nearest Aptech centre and will also be given Microsoft Dreamspark software at no charge.
While at the centre, students will get an opportunity to have a face-to-face interaction with the Aptech career counsellors on selecting the next-generation IT courses. They will also get to undergo a free aptitude test, which will help them match their aptitude with the right career, said the company.
Talking on the rationale behind launching ‘Career Next’, Anuj Kacker, senior vice president and global head, retail education, Aptech, said, “Career Next is aimed to provide students with the initial step in the pathway to future employment in the IT sector. We will provide the students with free career counselling and aptitude tests to help them become career confident professionals.”
